Reading Rep Theatre
On Wednesday, 3rd November 2021, we had 34 of our students head to Reading Rep Theatre to see a world premiere adaptation of Oscar Wilde’s The Picture of Dorian Gray and attend a workshop on the performance.
The Picture of Dorian Gray is a core text on the A Level English Literature course. The workshop gave the students the opportunity to perform and write collaboratively and have a lot of fun!
The experimental, modern adaptation focused on the themes and history of the book, exploring Oscar Wilde’s biography and his time in Reading Gaol.
In a time when the opportunity to go to the theatre has been limited, it was fantastic to see the students enjoy this exciting new performance.
