Update from Team Cambodia 🇰🇭
The first week of workshops was a challenge that the students rose to fantastically - they were completely our of their comfort zones but got stuck in straight away and loved it!
One of the students, Kai, celebrated his 17th birthday on Tuesday with a Cambodian macha birthday cake!
The team had the chance to take part in a cultural exchange with some student monks at a local university on Thursday afternoon where they talked about their practices and the differences in our cultures.

By choosing to continue your education at College you have already made the decision to build a successful future for yourself. QMC will help you to make the most of your time by providing an abundance of opportunities, experiences and support for you to develop an array of transferable skills, looked for by universities and employers.
The deadline for submitting your application is 9th December 2022, however we encourage you to start and complete your application as early as possible and to adhere to deadlines set by your school. Please ensure you use an email account you have regular access to (not your school account) as this is the way we will contact you. Please note that emails sometimes end up in junk/promotions folders so please check these regularly and add Queen Mary’s College to your safe senders list.
Our College Admissions Team will review your application and make contact with you if necessary. Once your review is complete we will email to confirm your application has been processed and will ask you to log in to your application to complete some final steps.
We are currently planning a series of events to help inform your decision making process. We will invite you to events that may be of interest to you, based on your application.
Early in June you will receive an invitation to our WelcomeFest. The day will be a great opportunity for you to find out more about College life and what you can expect when you join us in September. You will be able to meet other new students, teachers and staff and ask any questions you may have. If you have not received your invitation by 15th June please contact us on 01256 417505.
Your Enrolment pack will be emailed to you in June and will have all the information you need about starting College, including transport forms. You will find the information online from June 2023.
Our Open Evenings are a great opportunity to find out about QMC. You will be able to have a look around the College and its facilities, find out more detailed information about particular subjects and courses that you are interested in, and have the opportunity to talk to teachers and current students. Our Open Evenings will give you a real taste for what it is like to be a student at QMC and we encourage you to attend. You are welcome to bring your family with you. Find out more here
GCSE Results Day is 24th August 2023. Whether your results are better than expected, or not as good as you had hoped, we can find the right programme of study to help you achieve your future goals and to reach your full potential.
You will be given an Enrolment appointment which will take place 29-31 August 2023 in College. Following this you will be ready to start College the following week!
It’s a good idea to start thinking about how you are going to travel to QMC. Stagecoach operate services on most routes to College. In addition, we currently run College buses from Andover, Burghfield, Fleet, Hatch Warren, Hook, Kempshott, Newbury, North Waltham and Whitchurch at very reasonable annual rates. Application forms will be emailed with the enrolment pack in June for you to book your place. You can find out more information about travel, including details about bus passes here.

Smiles to brighten a rainy day! Our Foundation Learning students braved the rain this morning to have a photo taken in the outdoor space. Why? They would love for us to create a designated outside area for them to spend time together, eat lunch or just relax in the fresh air. At QMC they currently enjoy a safe and inclusive environment during lessons, where they flourish and develop as young people with special educational needs. To achieve our ambitious dream of creating an outdoor space, to further support their social development, we need your help.
The students are busy organising lots of #fundraising initiatives - watch this space!
