The Application Process

By choosing to continue your education at College you have already made the decision to build a successful future for yourself. QMC will help you to make the most of your time by providing an abundance of opportunities, experiences and support for you to develop an array of transferable skills, looked for by universities and employers. You will be in very safe hands.

The application deadline for 2024 entry was on 10 December 2023.

Applied on time?

Missed the deadline?
Last few places remaining. Please complete your application as soon as possible and we will be in touch. Applications received on time will take priority.

We encourage you to start and complete your application as early as possible and to adhere to deadlines set by your school. We fully appreciate that subject choices and grade predictions can change. It is important that you put these on your application and then contact us at a later date to advise of any changes.

Please ensure you use an email account you have regular access to (not your school account) as this is the way we will contact you. Please note that emails sometimes end up in junk/promotions folders so please check these regularly and add Queen Mary’s College to your safe senders list.

Year 10:
The application system for 2025 entry will open in October 2024. The deadline for submitting your application is 10th December 2024 (tbc).

To apply:
Register as a user and then fill in the form. Don’t worry if you have not got all of your information to hand. You do not have to fill the form in all in one go; you can save and return later.  You will receive an email confirming that we have received your application.

Uploading ID:
As part of your application please upload your birth certificate or passport to confirm your identity. If you have been unable to provide these our Admissions Team will be in touch with you to discuss alternatives.

 

Application Review:

Our College Admissions Team will review your application and make contact with you if necessary. Once your review is complete we will email to confirm your application has been processed and will ask you to log in to your application to complete some final steps. Please note that we work through applications received in date order and so you may hear back from us at a different time than your friends.

Subject Specific/Useful Events

We are currently planning a series of events to help inform your decision making process. We will invite you to events that may be of interest to you, based on your application.

WelcomeFest:

Early in June you will receive an invitation to our WelcomeFest. Taking place in June/July, the day will be a great opportunity for you to find out more about College life and what you can expect when you join us in September. You will be able to meet other new students, teachers and staff and ask any questions you may have.

Enrolment Pack:

Your Enrolment pack will be emailed to you in June and will have all the information you need about starting College, including transport forms. You will find the information online from June 2024.

Open Evening

QMC Open Evenings are a great opportunity to find out about College. You will be able to have a look around the campus and facilities, find out more detailed information about particular subjects and courses that you are interested in, and have the opportunity to talk to teachers and current students. Our Open Evenings will give you a real taste for what it is like to be a student at QMC and we encourage you to attend. You are welcome to bring your family with you. GCSE Results Day:

Whether your results are better than expected, or not as good as you had hoped, we can find the right programme of study to help you achieve your future goals and to reach your full potential.

Enrolment:

You will be given an Enrolment appointment which will take place August 2024 in College. Following this you will be ready to start College the following week!

Travelling to College:

It’s a good idea to start thinking about how you are going to travel to QMC. Stagecoach operate services on most routes to College. In addition, we currently run College buses from Andover, Burghfield, Fleet, Newbury, North Waltham and Whitchurch and Overton at reasonable annual rates. Application forms will be emailed with the enrolment pack in June for you to book your place. You can find out more information about travel, including details about bus passes here.
