On April 22nd 1959 at Columbia’s 30th street studio in New York City, Miles Davis completed his iconic album ‘Kind of Blue’ The album features Davis’s ensemble sextet consisting of saxophonists John Coltrane and Julian “Cannonball” Adderley, pianist Bill Evans, bassist Paul Chambers, and drummer Jimmy Cobb, with Wynton Kelly appearing on the track ‘Freddie Freeloader’ The album was released on August 17th 1959 and sixty years on is still one of the most successful jazz albums of all time. Now, you can experience this album recreated LIVE onstage with a cast of outstanding jazz musicians.

A terrific concert by five superb musicians. A nice selection of Davis be-bop in the first half, and then the album performed flawlessly in part 2 with scored sections recreated exactly and fabulous improv that captures the mood of the album.
