Queen Mary’s College continues to achieve impressive results for GCSE English and Maths retakes, surpassing the national average.

For GCSE English  retakes, 73% of students at Queen Mary’s College achieved a grade 4 and above, more than double the national average pass rate of 35%.

This success translates to GCSE Maths retakes as well. National data shows an average pass rate of 24.1%, while QMC surpassed this figure with a 30.28% pass rate at a grade 4 and above.

GCSE English and GCSE Maths retakes at QMC are taught by subject-specialist teachers who provide exceptional learning through extra support sessions, engaging workshops, and more. 

Beyond the classroom, students are provided with additional opportunities to encourage subject engagement and boost confidence. For example, GCSE Maths students excelled at a regional maths competition earlier in the year.
