QMC’s Foundation Learning Department Fundraiser

QMC’s Foundation Learning Department Fundraiser

Posted: 8th February 2024

Foundation Learning students at Queen Mary's College

Students and  staff have been busy raising money via events and initiatives over the last six months in order to create an outdoor learning space for our Foundation Learning students. By organising a Coronation fete, weekly car washes, exercise classes, bake sales, Christmas fayre, and other small fundraising ideas the Foundation Learning students have so far raised almost £11,000, including a generous £5000 donation from Basingstoke charity The Queen Mary’s Foundation.

£18,000  is needed to complete the groundworks, fencing, decking and shelter, and although the students are busy coming up with new ideas to help towards the fundraising effort, building costs seem to rise as quickly as we can save. We are still £8,000 short to get this vital project off the ground. They would be very grateful for any donations, no matter how big or small.

Please donate here if you can help towards their goal. Thank you for any donations that will help us reach our target so that we can start work during the Easter holidays.
