Welcome to the Library, a welcoming, quiet and safe area for students to study and learn independently.
- Library doors open at 8am and the issue desk is available 8:30 – 5:00 Monday – Thursday and 4:20 on Fridays.
- The Library is Open Access and all students are welcome anytime - if you have a Study Period, arrive early or at the end of the day.
- The Library offers a quiet safe space for students to work or reflect. We have mindfulness materials available to everyone. We also house the Prayer and Reflection Room.
- We have a wide range of academic resources for all abilities/levels of study, including magazines, DVDs covering all genres including foreign language DVDs, Maps, special book collections, audio books and fiction covering classics to science fiction.
- Our online resources for all subjects include Databases, eBooks, eMagazines, and eNewspapers.
- Library staff are available to help with research and advise on whatever resources you may need, including specialist help for students studying for extended projects, and French.
- The Library works closely with all departments and provides subject displays with relevant materials that students can use or borrow. Our displays also reflect the themed weeks which are covered as part of our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion programme.
- The Library has full WiFi coverage with the facility to loan laptops for use in the Library, alternatively you are welcome to bring in your own device to use.
- The Library runs a lunchtime student reading club, also knitting and crocheting club.

We run reading groups in conjunction with the English department to enable students to widen their reading.
Membership
The Library is available to all students and staff at the college; you will need to have your QMC college card to borrow any resources.

During busy exam periods the Library will operate extended opening times for your convenience.
