Last week Ben Goldbold, Lead Physiotherapist for Southhampton FC, Women & Girls, provided a useful insight into careers in Physiotherapy within the NHS, pathways into them and the skills needed to work with people.
Throughout the workshop students had a go at using a spinal board and they also examined the contents of a Physio’s bag! They discussed, the impact of the pandemic too and heard how Ben’s role included work in intensive care, working with Covid patients.
The students thoroughly enjoyed the experience and appreciated the insight gained from the day. Thank you Ben for delivering such an enjoyable and worthwhile workshop to our sports students.
