Students at Queen Mary’s College (QMC) are celebrating today following the publication of the 2026 A Level and Level 3 vocational examination results, securing places at top universities, medical schools, and high-level apprenticeships across the UK.
Reflecting months of dedication, expert teaching, and personal growth, the Class of 2026 has delivered exceptional performances across both academic and practical disciplines.
Queen Mary’s College is proud to announce a 99% pass rate, with 71% of grades achieved at A*–C.
Students studying Extended Vocational Diplomas have achieved a 100% pass rate, with an impressive 58% being awarded high grades.
Commenting on the cohort’s achievements, Principal Mark Henderson said:
“Results Day is one of the highlights of the year because it’s our chance to celebrate everything our students have worked so hard to achieve. Behind every grade is a huge amount of commitment, resilience and determination, and I couldn’t be prouder of what this year’s students have accomplished. I’d also like to thank our staff, whose dedication and support help students grow in confidence and achieve their goals. High-Level Degree Apprenticeships
Alongside university progression, QMC students have also secured places on competitive degree apprenticeships and early-career schemes with leading organisations.
Matilda Jensen (pictured with her proud Father) has secured a Level 7 Degree Apprenticeship (Tax) at KPMG, having achieved ABB grades. Matilda excelled during a rigorous and competitive application process.
Excellence Across Vocational Pathways
The celebration extends to QMC’s broad range of Level 3 vocational programmes, where students have achieved standout results and progressed to prestigious conservatoires, specialist arts institutions, leading universities, and competitive industry opportunities.
Many of our students thrive by combining vocational courses with traditional A Levels to tailor their studies to their career ambitions:
- Honey Lane (Distinction* A B) combined vocational Medical Science with Psychology and Computing A Levels and is now heading off to study Biomedical Science at the University of Reading.
- Creative Media student Joe Gray (Distinction) is going to Pinewood Studios to study Directing and Cinematography. He hopes to fulfill his dream of becoming a film director.
- Kaan Cigdem achieved an A* in Law, an A in vocational Criminology and a Distinction in vocational Music, securing his place to study Law at the University of Exeter.
- Diya Babbar (Triple Distinction) is going on to study Pharmacy at the University of Reading, having studied vocational courses in Business and Health and Social Care
- Shay Kemp (BBB) achieved straight B grades across vocational Criminology and A Levels in Business and Law, securing his place to study Marketing at the University of Reading.
Gap Year & International Travel
For some students, taking time out before entering higher education or the workforce offers a valuable chance to broaden their horizons and gain life experience.
After achieving top A Level grades (A*AA) in Biology, Chemistry, and Maths with an EPQ, Ayilar Sharafi is taking a year off. Art, Textiles and Film Studies student Jazz Acott (BBC) is also taking a gap year following her results today, with plans to travel across Asia to explore new cultures and gain real-world independence before taking her next steps.
