Men’s Mental Health Month

Men’s Mental Health Month

Posted: 1st November 2021

Let’s make the invisible visible…
Monday November 1st marks the beginning of Men’s Mental Health month.

At QMC, we are using it to promote mental health awareness across college. But it is important that we understand some find it harder to talk than others but that we are all in this together.
Over the month, we will be posting self-care challenges, information about our support services and other resources to promote just how important your mental well-being is and that we are here for you all.
To start with, Simon Thomas, ex Blue Peter presenter and Sky Sports presenter has made a personal video for QMC, talking about the need to take our mental health seriously.
Take a moment and give it a watch.

At QMC, we will be raising awareness of this issue, championing the message that it is good to talk and that we are all in this together. We will be promoting the amazing work of our well-being hub and looking at important ways that we can look after ourselves and each other.Lockdown and Covid has had a massive impact on our mental health, but both staff and students at QMC are committed to working together to help all everyone move forward and achieve goals and take care of emotional well-being.
