Teacher of Physics Recognised for providing Exceptional Learning Opportunities
QMC Teacher of Physics Kirsten Johnson was nominated for the recent University of Bath Awards for Inspirational Teachers. The awards recognise and celebrate teachers who have gone above and beyond to support their students; guiding them on their path to university; inspiring them to aim high; offering pastoral care to support well-being and nurturing talents by providing exceptional learning opportunities.
Ex-QMC student Dan Copeman who left College in the summer after achieving excellent A*A*AA grades nominated Kirsten for the award. Dan, who is now studying Natural Sciences at Bristol University commented “Kirsten’s invaluable care, dedication and support made a real and ongoing difference in shaping my future pathway.” After receiving her certificate at the University of Bath’s Celebration Event Kirsten commented “Being nominated for the award was not only a personal honor but one for the Science Department and QMC too, as it very much reflects the dedicated support & approach of us all.” Sophie Kirtley from Bath University added “Congratulations once again, not just for being nominated, but for all the extraordinary work you do.”
