Reduced College Bus Pass from September 2012
We are pleased to announce that the price for the private College bus pass has been reduced, and from September 2012 will cost just £275 per year.*
For students that live outside of Basingstoke, in areas with limited public transport options, QMC operates private buses to help students get to College. We currently operate private buses from Andover, Burghfield and Newbury, and in addition will be operating a service from the Fleet area in the new academic year. The daily service picks students up, getting them to QMC for the start of the College day and drops them back at the end of the day. The services are faster and more direct than some of the Stagecoach services, and although they only run once a day each way in term time, they are not used by members of the general public.
The cost of the annual pass is now just £275 for the year, a reduction of £115 from the current price.
As the services are contracted on an annual basis, tickets are only issued on an annual basis and payments are not refundable. However, to help spread the cost we are able to accept an initial payment of £68.75 at enrolment (by cash, cheque or credit card) with the remaining three payments of £68.75 paid by direct debit on 1st October, 1st November and 1st December 2012 inclusive.
Places on the College bus services are limited. Students will be to apply for a place on the bus when they receive their enrolment pack in June. Places are available on a first come, first served basis so students are advised to get their application form in early.
