Each computer on the network includes industry standard software as well as specialised departmental applications. In addition, Queen Mary's College is a participant of the LENSE Internet consortium and benefits from a 100Mb Internet link. IT Support team supports the College networks and are based in room 511, in the main entrace of the Library. During normal office hours the IT Support office is staffed by at least one member of the IT support team that will be able to offer advice and assistance (e.g. answering software queries and over the counter problems). The IT Support team hold professionally qualified certification and a wide variety of skills which aid them in running a stable and reliable network for Queen Mary's College. |
