Facilities

QMC has received consent and support from the Learning and Skills Council for capital projects that will transform the built environment. The strategy involves a total investment of £32 million over three years and will provide modern, state of the art learning spaces fit for the twenty-first century.

The first phase is due for completion in November 2009. This three storey building includes flexible spaces for teaching and study, and specialist facilities for science and for students with learning difficulties and disabilities.

The building has been designed to meet strict sustainability criteria and will cost a total of £12.8 million. Future phases include an improved learning resource centre and a performing arts complex as well as additional classrooms for other subject areas.
