Performing Arts (Acting) – BTEC National Award

The BTEC National Award in Acting is a practical and academic acting course that requires a 2 year commitment from students. The Acting Award gives you the opportunity to study 3 or 4 other courses alongside. You will study a broad range of acting skills and techniques and explore the work of both classical and contemporary theatre practitioners. Students will complete 6 units of work including: Contemporary Theatre Performance, Applying Acting Styles, Approaches to Directing, Classical Theatre Performance, Principles of Acting and Performing to an Audience. At the end of the course you will take part in a major group production, which will involve all the skills you have learnt.
   
Method of Assessment: 100% coursework including written and practical assignments
