Performance - BTEC First Diploma
| The BTEC First Diploma (Performance) is a one-year course that aims to provide the knowledge, understanding and skills necessary to prepare students for employment and/or as a stepping stone for a higher level course. It gives students the opportunity to consolidate their qualifications by being able to study GCSE English/Mathematics alongside. Students will learn by completing projects based on realistic workplace situations, activities and demands that would be faced by a modern performer. Students will complete six units of work including: Performing Scripted Plays, Musical Theatre, Devising, Performing Dance, The Performing Arts Production Process and The Performing Arts Business. At the end of the course you will take part in a major group production, which will involve all the skills you have learnt. |
