Information and Communication Technology AS and A Level
| This subject studies the application of computers and related technology in business and society. It considers the effects and limitations of ICT and the opportunities it can create for organisations. In this course you will study the impact of ICT on organisations and individuals in addition to developing practical skills in up-to-date software. In the first year you will examine developments such as the use of the Internet, Legislation, Networking, Systems Analysis and Database Design. In the second year you will examine Organisational Structure, Policy and Strategy, Training, Project Management and Information Systems. Throughout the course you will develop analytical, design, problem solving and evaluative skills while creating solutions to practical IT problems. Advanced skills in MS Excel and MS Access will be developed throughout both years of the course. |
