Geography AS and A Level
In the AS course you will study the changes that have occurred in both the physical and human landscapes of the British Isles. On the physical side you will study the weather, drainage basins and glaciation. The human aspect will consider how people have changed the landscape of the British Isles and how population and resources have changed in the UK in the last 30 years. You will have the opportunity to undertake a range of fieldwork, including a residential trip.
The A2 Level course switches the emphasis to global change. You will have the opportunity to study a range of topics including plate tectonics, climate change, vegetation and soil and hazards, both human and physical. Again, fieldwork figures prominently with the opportunity for fieldwork study both in the UK and abroad. |
