English Language AS and A Level
| At this level English Language is very different from GCSE. You will study the language itself in great detail, looking at topics such as children’s language development, men and women’s interactional styles and (in the second year) accents, dialect and language change. The course involves some detailed study of grammar including clause and sentence analysis, not for its own sake, but so that you can explore and investigate a wide range of examples of language, both written and spoken. |
