Course Fees

All course fees must be paid at the time of enrolment. Details of fees can be found on the course descriptions which can be sent to you.

Queen Mary’s College charges fees for examined courses as recommended by the Learning and Skills Council (LSC). The LSC subsidise the tuition fee. Please note that to receive this subsidy you are expected to complete the qualification. If you do not wish to take an examination or be assessed you should consider our range of non-examined classes or pay the full unsubsidised tuition fee. Details of which are available on request. If you wish to pay for a course by cheque please make it payable to ‘Queen Mary’s College’ and return it with your enrolment form.

Examination Fees

All examination fees are included in the tuition fee.

Fee Concessions

Fee remission is available on examined courses.
Concessions are available for people who are:

• 16-18 year olds
• Learners studying their first full level 2 qualification (for more information see L2E)
• Learners aged 19 – 25 studying towards their first full level 3 qualification (for more information see L3E
• Those in receipt of income that is:
  a) unemployed people in receipt of income-based benefits Jobseeker’s Allowance
  b) those in receipt of Council Tax Benefit
  c) those in receipt of Housing Benefit
  d) those in receipt of Income Support
  e) those in receipt of Working Tax Credit with a household income of less than £15,500
  f) those in receipt of Pension Credits (Guarantee Credit only)
• Unemployed people in receipt of contributionbased jobseekers allowance
• The unwaged dependents of those listed above
• Those taking classes defined as basic skills
• Asylum seekers eligible for LSC funding
